Masterbrain Rules
Objective and basic concepts
The objective is to guess the hidden code in the fewest number of turns possible. The code is made up of colored pegs placed in a row, and after each guess you receive feedback that tells you how close you are. Each row you play will get one of the following feedbacks:
- A green peg, which means one of your guessed pegs is the right color in the right position.
- A gray peg, which means one of your guessed pegs is the right color but in the wrong position.
- No peg, which means none of the guessed pegs in that position are correct.
You keep making guesses until you either crack the code or run out of turns. The challenge is to use the feedback logically to eliminate possibilities and zero in on the secret code.
Gameplay
There are essentially four actions you can take:
- Place a colored peg in a slot. This is done by clicking on the slot and choosing a color.
- Change a peg’s color. Simply click the slot again and pick another color.
- Submit your guess. Once you’ve filled the row with pegs, press the check button to get feedback.
- Clear a row before submitting. This lets you reset your guess if you want to try a different combination.
Game modes
There are two ways to play. You can play single player against Tom, who will set the code for you to crack. Or you can play two players locally, where one of you creates the code and the other tries to guess it on the same device.
Difficulty settings
You can choose from three levels of difficulty. Beginner uses 4 colors, Intermediate uses 5 colors, and Expert uses 6 colors. The more colors, the trickier it gets to figure out the code.
Winning
You win when you guess the exact code: all pegs are the right color in the right position. If you run out of turns without cracking it, the code is revealed and you lose. The fun is in trying to use logic and deduction to solve it as quickly as possible.
Timer and scoring
A timer runs during each game, and if you solve the code quickly you’ll earn extra points. This adds an extra layer of challenge for players who want to not only crack the code but do it faster than their opponent.

This is in despite of the fact other scripts seem to have loaded up just fine.
